I would love this draft for the Saints.

If Saints go CB in the 1st and OLB in the 2nd, CSP's head will implode.

I like it though.

one pick away from cooks

ETA: If yankey is there in the 2nd round on our pick, I can definitely see him being the eventual grubbs replacement.

He's a versatile OL that can play pretty much anywhere, put him at center for a year and you can get him playing experience to shift over to LG next year with a less steep of a learning curve

Paul Richardson is a really intriguing prospect.
6'0, but he's 175lbs (same weight as Djax, but 2 inches taller), 32 5/8'' arm length and 8 7/8'' hands

Runs a 4.40s 40; 38inch vert; 7.09s cone

compared to Cooks:
5'10 189lbs, 30 3/4'' arm length and 9 5/8'' hands
4.33s 40; 36inch vert; 6.76s cone

compared to OBJ:
5'11 198lbs, 32 3/4'' arm length and 10'' hands
4.43s 40; 38.5inch vert; 6.69s cone

big ?? is how consistent can he be and durability. The other 1st round 'x' receivers have a good 15-20lbs on him and although he is taller, they have larger hands and better cone times (imo a better measure than 40) definitely a late flyer pick, I think 3rd is too high for him.

I wouldn't select Richardson over Moncrief but that's me. I wish the Saints would invest a WR pick in someone with size and speed for once. We already have Stills for the slot and/or outside speed threat

It's refreshing to see a mock draft so different from the mainstream ones. As mentioned above, I would have gone with Moncrief over Richardson as well.

Out of Attaochu and Van Noy- it's really a toss up for me:

Van Noy in run defense is tricky because he's not solid vs. downhill runs and it'd seem like he couldn't shed blocks, but Attaochu has the power and speed to combat that. He just seems to be more of a prototypical 3-4 OLB. *SHRUG*

Mosley going 8? This seems a bit silly to me and makes me not take this mock seriously. MLB's rarely if ever go top 15 much less top 10. Crazy things do happen in drafts, but I don't know about this one

If Martin is availabe in the 2nd round I'd rather draft him unless they really like stork for Florida st.

I like Richardson, but was hoping he would be there in the 4th or 5th round. There is still a lot of good talent there in the 3rd

Not to thread hijack but did anyone read the whole thing? This dude is stupid. He talks about Dallas drafting a defensive player to play alonside Demarcus Ware. Ummmm.....Also at pick 82 he talks about Loston getting taken by the Bears and how he is gonna fit so well in Rex Ryan's offse. Ummm.....
