Any suggestions of a good shop I can do either a half or whole day of diving with while in key west? Would rather do shallow dives because the deep dives of the Gulf bore me, would rather some colorful scenery like a reef. Will probably have the GF with me too who will probably want to ride along.

I also don't know about scuba diving but there is some damn nice snorkeling out of the Bahia Honda state park.

They take you out quite a ways in a boat.

It's been a long time since I've been diving in the Keys. Don't recall specific dive shops (likely not in business any longer anyway) but I highly recommend doing a night dive. There is an entirely different set of fish at night. I stopped counting the lobster--not allowed to catch them anyway as we were in some sort of marine sanctuary.
