I heard Clark Howard describe the difference between the three major warehouse clubs.
1. Costco has the highest quality product and the deepest discounts. The house brands are of the highest quality, too.
2. Sam's Club has the cheapest prices on a given product, although the quality may be less.
3. BJ's has the most variety, but prices are higher. For example, at Costco you may only have two choices for toothpaste, but at BJ's, you may have 12.
Of the three clubs, I prefer Costco. Their house brands are very, very good in almost all cases.

Like night and day... Costco has better quality across the board. From meats to detergent, Costco is superior. The customer service is better and if you are a wine drinker they have some amazing wines at prices that are hard to believe from time to time. They also do deep discounts periodically on some high end scotch and bourbon.
