In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, director Bryan Singer stated that X-Men: Apocalypse, the 2016 sequel to X-Men: Days of Future Past, would draw influence from the 1990 storyline Age of Apocalypse, but not necessarily create an alternate universe.

Sounds good to me.

Am I the only one who would like to see a new actor play Wolverine?

I like the idea but I'm unsure about the execution.

They could end up casting Zac Efron.

I just have no belief in this movie. How can they do such a good job with Avengers, Iron Man (1&2), Captain America, Thor, but butcher the X-Men universe.

easy - marvel doesn't have the rights - Fox does (i believe)

and lets be honest - Fox is not exactly the shining beacon on good creativity decisions.

Because Marvel/Disney doesn't have the rights to X-Men. Marvel/Fox does.

Here's a decent list of who owns what rights.

Dead serious. Damn shame too. They cast a solid actor in the role.

This guy from American Horror Story:

On a side note: I think Whedon put Kick-arse on the juice for Avengers 2.

Character design and costuming seems to be off in DOFP, particularly Bishop and the look of the Sentinels. The entire look of the movie just seems to be a bit off.

With that said, I've enjoyed most of the X-Men movies other than The Last Stand and the first Wolverine standalone.
