I'm looking to get some new broad heads for my bow. I heard a lot of great things about Flying Arrow Archery's Toxic broad heads. Just wandering if anybody had any experience with them.

What is the reason for changing?

What are you getting away from?

Why not just shoot a g5 montec? Solid steel, you can sharpen them to use them over and over. They work. They kill deer. They've been proven to kill deer.

No experience with those but they look like they would fly crazy.

I was shooting rage hypodermics. I like them but the blood trail wasn't always that great. I've talked to a few people that have shoot toxics and said it looks like a 12 gauge slug when it hits a deer. They said it shoots just like a field tip. You can change the blades out if damaged. Penetrability was also great.

To me, a Broadhead isn't something to just try out on deer because some are garbage. I have a friend that tried out the blood runner 2 blades when they came out and lost a deer. I didn't see the shot but he only bow hunts and he's very successful so I believe him when he says he made a good shot. I used to work at spillway and one year some of the employees went with the owner to test broadheads on hogs. The one posted below is the owners favorite because IT WORKS. Look them up and check out the kill pics on these broadheads.

That's where I saw the toxics at. One of the guys there told me about them. He's said he's only heard good this and that he likes them himself.

I don't really shop there anymore after they screwed me over on a gun. They really try to sell you the most expensive crap there to take their customers money. However even though this Broadhead isn't cheap, I know it works. Bowie has them as well.

Don't know where you heard anything good about that blade but whoever told you that was either stoned or had no idea what they were talking about. Those broadheads are absolutely terrible.

Get reapers and never look back.

Grizzly Stiks are also badass. Can't justify the high price though. Slick Tricks are good too if you're looking for a fixed blade.

How are they any more badass than all of the other heads out there that cut 2" slits?

No broadheads are created the same and I'm not scientific enough to be able to tell you why they're better than x y or z other than they work. We have some land in Choctaw County, AL that my best friend's dad and his partner lease and run a guide operation on. His partner is the old timer type that never left Choctaw county except to fight in Korea. The kind of dude that you shut up and listen to when he opens his mouth. He shoots those Grizzly Stiks and I've seen them do some absolutely ridiculous things to animals. Things I've never seen a Rage 2" do to a deer, and I shot those for awhile before switching to reapers.

eta: Though I can actually tell you why the Toxic heads are terrible. Think of the design of the Toxic heads as a hole puncher. The energy lost with those heads is huge. They're total gimmicks.

Thunderheads and muzzy broadheads have probably killed 6 billion deer.

Broadheads aren't rocket science. Put some really sharp blades on the end of your arrow and it will cut a hole through a deer.

That's all well and good, but a 2" slit is a 2" slit regardless of what made it.

Haha man I'm glad somebody knows what I'm talking about. Those types are some special guys and there aren't enough of them left around.
