Crabs are starting to run good

Off chef pass, traps in the water 20 hours with bass heads, chicken necks or turkey necks. Didn't matter, all traps had crabs.

damn, that is sweet as hell....

doesn't look like I'll be getting crawfish this year, so I may have to go the crab route...

Pops said all his traps on his wharf had a bunch of crabs in them. I may start running them this week.

They were half full and half kites, but they all tasted good!
Dad took half a box home to pick for crab cakes after we all ate on the dock.
I'm glad somebody in the family likes picking them that much.

Nice to hear. Heading over to Fountainbleau State Park this weekend for some camping with the family. 4y/o has never been crabbing. May have to try our luck.
Anybody know if the crabbing is worth a hoot over there?
