New Honda Rancher Advice Needed

Time to get a new Rancher. Me and pops have split a bike over the years and now that I have graduated and have a job I would like to get my own. I want a rancher nothing more nothing less. I am pretty old school so i would like it to be manual and have a carb. Do they still make them with carbs or are they all fuel injected now?
Main question is what are you guys picking them up for? I don't want to spend over $5500. Is that doable for my price range?
Also, I will eventually add some 26" tires with some wheels. 26" is the biggest you can use on WMA correct?
Best places to look? Friendly in BR and Brookhaven Honda i know of. Any other places. Thanks for the hlep.

Keeping it under 5500 will be no problem. I don't think they have carbs at all anymore.

You mind telling me what you paid out the door?

$6205, but that was automatic with power steering and the independent rear suspension.
That was not taxes though, just bike.

Yikes thats more then I would like to spend. I'm guessing it would be a bit cheaper with a manual and no power steering? Straight axle is fine with me also.

Yea with out those options should get it in your price range.

I know friendly sells tire packages as well, does brookhaven offer this?

Are you not interested in a used one that is less than two years old?

I would rather rather buy new. Why?

Just saw on La Sportsman a 2013 Rancher 420 with 42 hours on it (which is nothing). Asking $5k.

I would try great river honda in natchez...I priced them a few years back and they came in thousands below anything I could find in north la....

Brookhaven will beat any price in LA and they are a breeze to deal with. They offer many wheel and tire packages and have great prices on those as well.

great river honda in natchez,
That's where I shop - He'll give you his rock bottom price w/o all that negotiation shite. It's the cheapest that I have found.

I'll be calling the Honda shop in Natchez tomorrow. Is the IRS really worth it? Mine now is solid rear axle. Is it a must have?

rancher 420 is a good bike. I honestly would get a good used one for 3000-3500 myself.
