All dems are, I know this is laughable, but browse DU and look at all the names they have created for the Koch brothers.

What's baffling is they are focusing on just these two people. This must be an Alinsky tactic?

I can't figure out why these two guys are noteworthy with everything else going on in the Democratic Party these days.

I realize they have to hold on to something to divert from the elephant in the room, but this is atrocious to watch.

My guess is they have money and are influential. Two things that the far left opposes.

Another thought that crossed my mind is that because the Koch brothers are libertarians, and libertarian principals are appealing to Democrats from a social and foreign policy perspective, maybe Reid and the DNC are putting forth a preemptive strike against the Koch brothers and their potential influence. I could see were their influence could pull some libertarian leaning Democrats toward libertarian candidates with an "R" behind their names.

One of 2 things is going on with this:

1. They have polling or focus group research that says mentioning these guys drives up D number, drives down R numbers or both. Maybe they just got too small of a sample and ended with a high percentage of people who A. Know who they are, and B. Give a flying f*ck who they are, and/or,

2. They have something very damning on the Kochs they are holding until September - after attaching them to the opposition - they think this big "reveal" will swing the difference in close races.

I honestly have no other idea why there would be this particular focus on these particular donors.

I guess they're trying to make them the Republican George Soros (but it is unlikely they are so detestable as to help the Nazis during the Holocaust, for personal gain and defend the practice - a Jew, mind you, by saying, "Somebody else would have done it.")

Just not creative enough to come up with another possibility.

Every cause need a guy in a black hat to rally against. It's the lowest form of campaigning. When you have the White House and senate and things are crappy, you have to have something to get your people to the polls.

It's prolly simple as this. The Koch brothers are the villains and your friendly neighborhood Democrat is here to save the day.

Now that would be interesting.

All good points, but pretty sure he was mad before the Koch's caught his eye...

Sadly, it prolly is this simple. I thought Daschle was bad, but Reid wins the prize. He'd make a fine LA/southern politician.

George Soros makes the Koch bros look tame. I'm sure this has been stated before.

Maybe in oppositeland.

The far left only exists because of money and influence.

Hillary will play the same game. Pander to the left and ignants and bend over for Wall Street. Just like Obammy. Nothing changes.

The 'other' side is different.

He is truly afraid of a Republican controlled Senate and a majority rules Senate that he would have to abide with under the ame rules he put in place.
