I know it has been around for a few years, but my daughters come home from school with a giant 4-page booklet on how it is the greatest new thing, helping kids get out in play and stay in shape.

Having your fat kid stand in front of a table, seeing how fast he can stack plastic cups is no exercise.

The booklet talks about competitions across the country.

My daughters play real sports (soccer, dance, gymnastics)and have real toys (trampoline, bikes, swing set, roller blades) to help them keep fit.

This booklet is nothing but a fricking commercial to get kids to spend a lot of money on nothing but fricking plastic cup.

It's just a game for kids. Like POGs when I was a kid, or marbles, or jacks or whatever. Not really a big deal.

This shite was around when I was in middle school and probably a long time before that. It is not even close to new and definitely not a sport.

You gotta read the propaganda. Its not just a hobby, it is THE thing (according to the booklet).

World wide competitions, really? Winners probably get rings.

Yeah that's shite overboard. But that kind of over top marketing is nothing new either. Look at Apple. It's not just a fricking computer, it's a lifestyle

It's advertising and it's sad. My nephew asked for them for Christmas 3 years ago and didn't touch them after that day.

Cup stacking builds strong hands and helps develop a stroking technique useful in their teenage years.
