They are u-shaped stairs with a landing built in already. The height is about 11 ft. How much do you think it would cost and is that something an amateur could do?

Stairs are not the easiest thing in carpentry work. Are you skilled? If you think about it then no pay somebody.

11 feet of stairs? I'd get a professional. You don't need to frick with a lawsuit later when your stairs crumble as a neighbor is walking down them.

I'm not very skilled so I was leaning more towards the hiring aspect. We got a quote for $2000 and I wasn't sure if it was accurate. The guy said it would be fairly easy to do, just take a day or two. I'm fine with that but I wanted to make sure it was accurate.

You could pro. build the skeleton, the trim is
the tough part.
Your riser height will be 7 5/16"
Tread width is 10"
Riser # is 18 minus 2 for top step and landing so
8 riser for each set of stairs. You will need at least a 116", 36" for landing and 80" for stairs.
Also you with have to minus off the bottom riser on the bottom set of stairs for the height of what ever you using on the treads, and drop down the top the top set i believe.

Is this house stairs or deck stairs

Is this a complete quote trim and hand rails.
If it is and house stairs not a bad price.

See its for a deck may be a little high, is he including material?

Treated stringers are available. If you can set 6x6 posts you can do this on your own.

The longest precut stringer you an buy is only a five step but not to be a dick but if you can't handle cutting the stringer you shouldn't attempt this project.
