Has the "F & D Board - Chopped Challenge" jumped the shark?

The last challenge was a total turn-off for most everyone due to the simplicity of all the ingredients.
Only two people submitted, and lo and behold it was basically the exact same dish.
It's also April 8th and there is nothing happening with it. Fun Bunch seems burned out, grasping for straws to bring life back into the project.
It's a shame, but I think it hit a wall and this last month was the "episode" where the challenge lost all it's credibility. I don't think it will ever be the same again.
I hope I'm wrong.

It was 1 bad month. You seriously making these kinds of accusations. Plus it's 1 guys who is taking charge of all of it in his spare time.

I think it's still trying to find its way. We've had four Chopped events? I think that's how many. The first one was the pumpkin/pork one. Not bad for a first effort from us. The next one had the peppermint and had a good number of participants. Then we had the ribeye/cucumber/fruit one. Had a whole bunch for that one as I think the ingredients were all relatively easy for us to work with. I think the last one, at least for me, wasn't an exciting ingredient list, but that happens. I think it can bounce back from that.

Agreed. Last month's ingredients didn't lend themselves to too much creative faculty.

I was just merely posing a question. I would certainly do it for a month, just as would many other posters on here would.
But this is his thing.

Thanks. This is the first time I'll actually be able to compete. I've been in the middle of a long move to my new location with only staying at parents and friends houses' for months. Nine months to be exact.
I am ready, will my fully stocked kitchen. Let the games begin!
