It's cringeworthy to watch this BS. The GOP knows that something has to change, but the establishment just can't help itself.
"We need to overhaul the face of this party. Who should we use?"
"Another Bush and that guy that bombed the Republican response to the SOTU a few years ago."
"Well, as long as we're rebranding, what should we call this new republican movement?"
"Dunno, how does 'New Republicans' sound?"

The two potential 2016 presidential candidates have teamed up to film an ad in support of Republican political consultant Alex Castellanos' Super PAC "NewRepublican.org." The Super PAC was formed after Mitt Romney's 2012 loss and aims at shifting the GOP's messaging from reactionary to proactive.
In the ad, term-limited Louisiana Gov. Jindal says the GOP needs focus more on individual voters instead of big business, a theme he's been known to tout during his frequent trips out of state.
"If you don't think the Republican Party should be the party of big government, big business or big anything, you're thinking like a New Republican," Jindal says.
Bush, the former governor of Florida, says parents should have more control over where and how their children are taught: "If you believe that every parent ought to be able to choose their child's school, and that the economy should be driven from the bottom up, not the top down from Washington, then you're thinking like a New Republican."
The themes are just two of a massive 67-point manifesto posted on the Super PAC's website. According to POLITICO, who first obtained the ad, it will begin airing in the Washington market during the Sunday shows and nationally on Fox News Sunday.

The flaw in this article, and all similar pieces, is that we really haven't had a true Republican in a long, long time. The party of control at the lowest level possible insists on making local issue a centerpiece in their national platform.
The extremes in both parties are frightening. More freighting to me at least, is that the extreme left has won the White House, and most people, including traditional Democrats, don't see this as an issue.

check out the cheating congressman thread...the thing I'm taking away from that is not that the guy who cheated on his wife is wrong, but that it's not fair that he should have to admit when he's wrong if the dems don't. This is the kind of bullshite that insures we keep the status quo in government. NEITHER party has to actually do anything as their lowest common denominators will always vote party line.

Bush was a pretty good Gov. He did a lot of good things during the condo meltdown in Florida. One would need to take some time and look to facts, rather than hatred of him becuase of his last name.
Come on, I do it for Obama, and I can hardly stand him, why can't y'all do this for persons you disagree with?
Which brings me to something I'll get crucified for saying. We do need poll testing, and only property owners should have the right to vote.

The definitions would be written in a manner that only I would get to vote. That's my thought anyway, and it has a lot of appeal to me.
