I've learned my lesson asking these types of questions on the OT...

How comparable should the diamond price be to websites like BlueNile or Lumera?

The stone is GIA certified, about a 10-12% premium to the 4Cs that I specified on the two sites. Am I getting the shaft?

It shouldn't be higher than BlueNile that is for sure.

Cushions really need to be viewed to be evaluated. Little long, but watch this, it should help...

check out briangavin diamonds. Some of the best you can get, and he has prices listed.

I prefer the look of the old cuts, with large facets....

Basically I'm getting a GIA cert 1.2ct/G color/SI2 clarity/good cut (I was willing to sacrifice a little clarity for a more colorless stone)

The setting is based off a Simon G ring that has about .75ct of diamonds the halo and sides. (I saw a price advertised for 3300 at a third party online store.

Rock- 5500
Setting- 2700

How much of the shaft am I receiving?
