.45 caliber boresight

I have a .45 caliber cartridge bore sight that I used to sight in a pistol a while back. Worked fine on the pistol. Could I use that pistol cartridge to bore sight my 45-70 rifle?

Really not sure. I guess it depends on how tight of a fit it is in the chamber.

Should work. Load it in the barrel and wiggle it around
