I know 90% of this board thinks he and Nirvana are massively overrated, but he's personally one of my favorite songwriters ever.

I also don't see another thread. I'll never forget where I was when I heard the news, I'd just gotten home from HS and turned on MTV and Kurt Loder was reporting it (I'm sure for the billionth time that day). I felt this odd sense of being alone. I walked down the street to the baseball park where some kids I knew were practicing for the high school team and talked to them.
