Gonna pay civil servants to do something that should be illegal, in baiting.. when hunters would put money into the state by allowing them to do the hunting.

the taxpayers asked the men they pay taxes to to fix their problem...should they open the town to a couple hundred hunters? I don't trust half the hunters on public land, I sure don't want them in my neighborhood.

Police have proven they can shoot dogs with no harm to people.

Bowhunting works quite well in neighborhoods.

They are going to be swatting from October to March, which is the normal hunting season. Killing them out of season must be inhumane in New York

I don't know about NY cops....seems the safest place to be is their target.

they do have hunting seasons, but they aren't as long as ours. I have a friend from up there, I think she said they have a short bow season and a short shotgun season and a short rifle season, but the problem is there are so many liberal fricks that no one really hunts

you think it'd be a good idea to turn Bubba loose with a .270 in the neighborhood?

That's the reason we are where we are with the country today as a whole.

When will we have an open season on liberals?

haven't you heard that guns are bad and law abiding citizens aren't supposed to have guns in liberal states? now those same citizens get to pay the SWAT team to kill the deer.

Every one likes nature frolicking around, until they start eating the petunias in the yard.

Wasn't there a show about bow hunting in a town somewhere.

If this were in Westchester, Long Island or somewhere else in or around the five boroughs, it wouldn't surprise me and (IMO) would make sense. Think Harry Lee and his nutria extermination program.

What seems odd to me is that N. Tonawanda is north of Buffalo, not very far from Niagara Falls. Aside from being 400 miles away, Northwest NY isn't the same as NYC culturally or politically. I'm guessing that there are a ton of cull deer eating people's landscaping and running in front of their vehicles. Let SWAT deal with the nuisance...

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that a significant part of the problem is within city limits. While many hunters may be capable of thoughtfully assessing what lays downrange in an urban environment and choosing wisely whether to shoot or not shoot, there are dumbfricks out there who would have .270 or 30.06 rounds sailing around suburbia.

You make a good point

ETA: Of course, if you thin the herd in the rural areas, I would think that they would be less likely to end up in the "city"
