Would you want your vehicle back if it had been stolen?

I see these messages from GM about how Onstar can help recover your stolen vehicle. Would you want it back? Can't you get it totaled or something? Any of you that have done this before chime in.

I like my ride but not sure I would want it back after who knows what happened in the cab.

Mine was stolen at Mardi gras my sr year in HS. Got it back after a month. Rolled 40 blunts bc the ground was covered in tobacco plus a few buds. Donut boxes everywhere plus a few condoms. I sold it a month later

My family had a lot of jokes stem from this!!

No. My car is shite so I'd use the theft as an excuse to buy a new one.

Id request a new engine and trans quote.

Run compression checks on the cylinders and say the numbers were 20psi higher before stolen.

Uh, yeah. Its ah, probably a vagrant, slept in the car. Or maybe just used it as a toilet, and moved on.

Had a friend who had a truck that he had for 3 days when it was stolen.

Someone committed suicide in it and the thing was trashed. The insurance company tried to give it back to him. He refused and went through a long process which ended through litigation.

No I don't ever want to see it again.

As long as I got my 8 track player back, my curtains on the side windows, and my fuzzy dice was returned I am ok.

I wouldn't accept less than $500 for my Ford Pinto Station wagon which is a chick magnet.

My f250 was stolen in Baton Rouge during lunch on government street in 2009 had 15000 miles on it. It was found 22 months later with 19500 miles and not a scratch. The guy driving it ran a used car lot. I'm sure he had a hand in the theft.

I had a '08 F-150 stolen at Mardi Gras in '09. On day 91 the insurance company called and said it had been found in Desire St Projects and that I could come pick it up the next few days. I said yeah good luck with that because you all own it now I bought a '11 Platinum 4x4 the day before the call with the ins. money

Meh, depends on the condition and which vehicle.

My truck? Nah, just give me the money.

My car? Hell yeah, I put too much money/time into it.

My 2012 truck got stolen. Insurance paid for the same truck in a 2013 model. Cops found the stolen truck the day I got my new one. Told them I was all good

Buddy had his 'Vette stolen. Insurance pays off, he buys another car just like his last one.

Fast-forward four years. Friend gets a call that his original car has been found about 10 miles from his house. It had apparently been hidden right after the theft, with the intent of picking it later for shipment to God knows where.

The kicker was that it was never picked up -- the story was that the thief was somehow killed right after he hid the car -- so with the exception of flat-spotted tires, a dead battery and some sun-damage to the paint, my buddy wound up with two matching Vettes.

Kinda like this Guy who rented out his apartment to someone on airbnb who had a "XXX Freak Fest" Orgy Party at his apartment. Same promoter through a "BBW Panty Raid Party" couple weeks prior.
