Anyone know of a good spot around BR to get some aluminum welding done or does anyone have a setup willing to help me out?

There's a few listed in this thread from before. I would definitely reccomend Templet. He does good work.

Rob-Os welding in plaquemine.

Dude is a little overly religous, but he is a damned good welder and a more honest guy I have never met in my life.

What happened? You didn't like the quote for the 15 or so 3" welds that boat needs?

Depends on your willingness to help the guy that depends on your business for a living... I guess

I was quoted ~$65 am hour. I'm not looking for a hand out, but I don't want to get ripped off or have poor quality work to my boat.

Is 65 a fair rate?

I work with Rob-o's neighbor. He's also a badass welder. I don't know how good Rob-O is because my friend never told me. There's plenty people in the area that weld aluminum. My gfs grandpa does, he lives in port Allen.

Id say thats pretty fair for a master welder.

Aluminum is a little harder to weld on than "regular" metals.

Looking for an aluminum fuel tank to be built for my mudboat, any suggestions on who would be best in area?

Can't think of the boat builder over on 22 in Sorrento off hand but I am bringing him my boat trailer to have some welding done on it soon.
