Which show is more overrated, Game of Thrones or True Detective?

This is really close for me, I am going to have to say Game of Thrones in general.
I go with that because I am not sure if True Detective gets the same level of praise around the country as it does in New Orleans where I live and on this board.

Someone doesn't have HBO.
I know what he does have. A RA for anchored thread.

The first 3 posts are from fans of the 3 most overrated football teams. Coincidence?

Game of Thrones
I watched the scene in TD where Rust is in the biker gang running through the ghetto. My heart was racing from the suspense. Fine Television experience

I actually have seen each episode of these two shows and will probably watch again.
Don't know why we can't have a simple discussion about the fact that these two shows, while good, receive far too much adulation.

I agree, TD had some amazing scenes. But considering the season on a whole, left me a little disappointed after all the praise I had heard it given.

This thread sucks. They're both the best shows on TV right now.

I think Homeland is better than both personally.

The Walking Dead is the most overrated show on TV right now, so boring ...fight me, frickers

the last season of homeland was terrible. I do agree go overboard with both shows even though they are great.

I actually just started the last season of homeland, and thought the first two episodes were pretty good. But it doesn't get the same kind of praise as those shows.
I think all three are on about the same level, I just enjoy Homeland more.

Yeah, but they really don't when you see what is on network television.
The highest rated network is CBS. Do you know what demographic CBS caters to? The same demo that sits at home all day watching Fox News confusing speculation based on false figures and half truths for fact. CBS is the poster child for LOP (least offensive programming). Do you know that anything that is considered too confusing can be considered offensive?
The point is, they're not overrated just because people discuss them. They're not overrated at all because it's hard to overrated something that is clearly superior to the baseline of programming.
