Leaving work in about 30 min to finish packing and hit the road with my dad and my son for a weekend chasing some thunder chickens in Alabama!

Gonna have some good times and good memories and hopefully some good birds to brag about as well!

About 30 minutes west of Montgomery. I've been keeping an eye on the forecast and Saturday should be fine. Rain is supposed to stop about midnight tonight and only 10% chance of rain on Saturday with a mix of sun and clouds.

Sunday will be hit or miss it looks like but I think the rain then will be more after lunch so we should be good for that am. Fingers crossed!!

Stay away from our turkeys!

I think I'm going to go try to kill one tomorrow myself. I'll probably have to get up at 2am to try to beat all you guys to the woods.

Where would I find said field if I were to hypothetically go looking for it?

Fair enough. I did a little turkey hunting when I was a teenager, but not much. I'm trying to get into it more this year, but I've only been once so far. If I kill a turkey tomorrow it will be the first one I've ever killed.
