Summer Trout in Cocodrie

Well, its about that time of the year again. I'm getting the speck fever. What is everyones guess on when the fat daddy specks will show up at Last Isle, Coon Point etc. I have always heard the first full moon in April.
With such a cold winter, do you think i will be later this year, or did the fish move out early because of the cold........ I'll probably make a trip to the camp weekend to fish for them inside and see if they are moving yet.

Yeah the wind is blowin like a bus full of ###s.
The link above is a report I posted in 2012 on May 1st. Hopefully they wil be biting before then.

We usually move from Pelican Pass, Sister Lake, and the outer bays to the islands around the first full moon in May.

Once this fricking wind stops blowing of course

nah, i kinda quit looking for a while. plus i have 2 other boats which i probably need to get rid of one before i get another.

If i get a calm day next week i'll be fishing lake pelto area. Trophy trout are out there right now. Dont expect to catch 40 trout but 10 big girls can happen.
