The US will have to play the WC like a fighter looking to knock their opponent out immediately. Give the officials a chance to impact the game and we saw a preview of what will happen tonight.

We try that against any of the three teams in our group, with the backline that we'll likely trot out, and we're losing 3-0 at the half in every game.

I would think 2-0 should be a knockout punch. We let them back in.

There's a point to that and no doubt that Mexico looked far better in the second half. It's like in football, they made the adjustments and we got caught off guard by them and it took a while to find our feet. Nonetheless, the US was robbed of a game winner, just like in WC 2010. I'd agree that playing ultra aggressively can be very risky but given the alternative....

What we need are some Swedish, English, welsh, and Canadian refs. They won't be concacaf for us during the wc right?
