The last time the NIT champ was ranked in the final top 25

With SMU at 27-9 currently, and a chance to get to 28-9 with a win in the NIT final, do they finish the year ranked?
When was the last time the NIT champ finished the year ranked?
They'd have a good argument for being ranked, especially after UConn getting to the final 4 and SMU being 2-0 against them this year

They were ranked #24 at the end of the regular season I believe.
