I get AMC really needs another show but unless this one has another focus, like the beginning stages of this or years into the future I don't get the point

It's the #1 rated show on television right now. They are striking while the iron is hot. The show has a very loyal base.

Yeah, I agree. We already have a show about humanity during the ZA. If they are going to have another show set in that world, then it needs to be focused on something different like what caused the ZA and the search to find a cure.

I would like something like that.

Truth is though, I'll watch it no matter what.

This is why they are doing it. I personally stopped watching after last season, but it has a very big and loyal following so why wouldn't they make bank off of it?

That was a good call after last season. I considered quitting the show as well but decided I would give it one more season to see if they could recover.

This season was the best since season 1. I'm glad I stuck it out.

Based on Kirkman still trying to work out the details, I think the point is AMC backed a dump truck full of money to his house and asked him to do another TWD show. On the plus side I think the fact that it's not a spinoff says Kirkman at least is trying to make it different rather than just an easy cash grab.

The finale was #2, I think I may have seen something like #1 rated cable show which would be true.

Its #1 cable show.

The finale is on par with network, which is astounding. Look at the rest of the top 10 for that night.....no other cable channel.
