I have a feeling we are going to have a mega tornado this year due to the cold weather fronts crashing with the warm fronts

Damned global warming.

My dad was at my uncles this day during the Xenia f5

Had no idea it was that many. Holy shite.

Thought the same thing the other day. I hate tornadoes. Also hate when people say shite like, "Man tornadoes are awesome. I love tornadoes." People who say shite like that have either never actually seen the damage up close and personal or psychotic. Tornadoes suck.

The cold winter has chilled the gulf for the time being, and depleted the moisture supply.
In the "tornado alley" of the southern plains, extreme drought is a much bigger worry than twisters.

I was in Tuscaloosa on April 27, 2011 and photographed the monster tornado as it tore through 15th & McFarland that day. I am fascinated by tornadoes and love chasing and studying them.

They changed the name, it's climate change now

Was home at lunch, and watched a show on the one's that came through Tuscaloosa.
My God, I just can't imagine seeing that.
I thought they were going to show that football player's interview where he talked about getting his girlfriend ripped from his arms. I'm glad they didn't. Didn't feel like crying at lunch today.

#1 Print the shirts.
But seriously it was messed up in ttown that day. I went outside and saw it as it was crossing 15th street and the side of the tornado were visible on either side of Bryant Denny as it crossed behind it in my vision.

It was intense. I'm not gonna lie. The scariest part of the whole thing were the minutes before the storm arrived. Complete silence. The wind wasn't blowing, the birds weren't chirping. All you could hear were the distant sound of police sirens and a continuous rumble of thunder to the southwest. It was chilling.

They were showing some footage from this when it hit here in Louisville in '74 since we have some severe weather in the forecast this week (of course).
This was taken by a NWS meterologist that was out in Northfield (Eastern part of Jefferson County and now part of Louisville Metro).
And one that touched down outside of Eastern Kentucky University's campus:

Having lived through the worst tornado outbreak in the history mankind I can say I'd much rather have a drought than a tornado. Those were some shitty times three years ago.

I wonder if Moore, OK will get hit again...seems like every year they get unlucky with tornadoes

The Super Tuesday outbreak in 2008 was bad for this area. This is the video one of the fatal tornadoes in the Memphis metro during rush hour that day.
Gets interesting around the 4 minute mark.
LINK
The one that scares me is the Joplin storm. You really can't prepare for something like that without being underground.
