Forget the fact that the Halos got blasted 10-3, Mike Trout went 2-4

They know what'll get the clicks and its not to highlight the mariners.

I don't see the issue here. Dude had a big night after getting his contract. He took one of the best pitchers in the game deep in his first at bat.

I was just about to make a thread about this

Lead story is a pic of Mike Trout and the awesome night he had, and no mention of the fact that the M's won 10-3

Typical ESPN

It was like the Atlantic Sun Title Game. On ESPN all they did was show highlights of Florida Gulf Coast's dunks, and at the end of the montage "Oh by the way Mercer won the game"

They did it with the Clippers one time too. Chris Paul and Blake Griffin had an awesome game, look at all these highlights and stats, oh and they lost by 20

He was 2-4 with a HR. I mean I'm sure there were several big leaguers yesterday that had similar if not better days. And there teams might have even won the game.

Here are 41 of Tiger Woods' 71 shots from today's round.

By the way, he's 8 shots behind some unnamed guy.

I am so glad I don't watch SC any more.

I have no problem with this. He had a good individual game even though his team lost. I am glad they are able to differentiate between individual and team accomplishments.

The problem with that rationale is that there are people last night who had great individual games AND their team won (because of them, I might add).

Yadier Molina comes to mind.

Oh, but sorry. You don't have enough twitter followers. You don't play in Los Angeles. You're not "trending." So Mike Trout is our cover boy.

It is a bit weird that they show so much Trout when Cano had a nice game for the M's AND helped them beat Trout's Angels.

Ding! Nailed it. Expect more of this for him and Jeter for the rest of the year while staying in 3rd place in the divisions.

Yeah, I thought they won the game when I saw the ESPN front page. Instead they got run out of their own stadium.

So Cody Asche should be on the front of the website since he went 3 for 4 with a HR, 4 runs scored, and 2 RBI? What about Andrew Brown hitting a three run shot?

How is Trout's fault the Angels gave up 10 runs? I watched most of that game. He did not pitch to the Mariners.
