LSU has had success in the past decade... ND hasn't had success in a while. (besides losing the championship once)

No. USC baseball = ND football.

LSU baseball is closer to Florida football.

The difference between them is LSU still an elite program (not this year). We were in the CWS last year and won a title just a few years ago.

Or Kentucky basketball...both lost to Florida 3 times already.

Both ranked high at the beginning and nearly dropped out of the polls.

If we can slay ULL that can be our equivilent to UK's Wichita St.

Well LSU won it all in 09, then went 2 and cue once since then in CWS. Not much difference.

More like Bama football. Bryant had 6 NC's, Skip 5. After Bryant 1 NC in almost 30 years till Saban's arrival. Hopefully we will get more than 1 post Skip, and not have to wait till Bertman V2.0

since college baseball has only been around since 1986, I'd say that's true

While I don't like Mainieri, to my knowledge he hasn't killed anyone. So I'd say false.

LSU is ranked high this year because of name. It is never true if you try to compare LSU and ND.

2 tournaments? You mean one tournament against inferior competition, then one meaningful 2/3 series (not a tournament).

LSU baseball's last national title is in 2009.
ND football's last national title is in 1988.

That 21 year gap says FALSE.

And regarding preseason rankings, national powers always get the benefit of the doubt because NO GAMES HAVE BEEN PLAYED YET.
