2 tournaments? You mean one tournament against inferior competition, then one meaningful 2/3 series (not a tournament).

was the SEC tournament inferior competition too?

And regarding preseason rankings, national powers always get the benefit of the doubt because NO GAMES HAVE BEEN PLAYED YET
LSU football considered by 99% of people here as a national power. Preseason ranking in the teens. (no games have been played either). Why is LSU baseball continuously ranked in top 5 preseason? We havent been a top 5 program in quite some time.

No.

but your comment that I referred to was: "pretty big difference since you have to actually win 2 tournaments to get to Omaha" ... You dont HAVE to win 2 tournaments.

Ok, so a regional tournament and a series against one of the top teams in the country.

Point still stands. Then again you know that and just want to continue your troll that you don't actually believe

We've won the SEC tourney 4 of the last 6 years while making it to Omaha in 3 of the last 6 years.

Just like ND though

That was a great team last year. The Omaha showing was really disappointing.

We've finished in the top 10 in 4 of the last 6 seasons and top 5 in 3 of the last 6.

1 national title
2 conference championships
3 CWS appearences
4 SEC tournament championships

Looks like a top 5 program to me

Ban yourself. Dumbest shite I've read in awhile on here. We just won a NC a few years ago and we've been successful since and we're ND all of sudden? Horrible comparison. ND was relevant for 1 year the past like 15 years.

You can play with numbers all you want.

LSU has only been to the CWS once in the last 4 seasons, and went 0-2. (See how easy it is to use numbers for the benefit of your own argument?)

Just an incomplete and idiotic argument really.

Let's leave out the sec and sec tournament championship as well as a top 10 and top 5 finish

Looks like the preseason rankings reflect the post season rankings under PM

I just looked up our rankings on baseballamerica.com

2013 5th
2012 9th
2011 Not Ranked in top 25
2010 Not Ranked in top 25

So top 5 ONCE in last 4 years and since we went 0-2 in the CWS, clearly we weren't 5th deservedly.

Why would you just go back 4 years anyways?

You keep using the word program. PMs program is easily top 5

It's also comparative. List your top 10 programs

So in last 4 years we have finished the season UNRANKED 50% of the time.

And we've finished in the top 10 in 4 of the last 6. We've also finished in the top 10 50%. Program implies longevity

Larger sample size would also be more accurate from a statistical perspective.

Name your top 10 programs
