Are baseball and basketball players soft?

I love baseball but I get so tired of hearing about injuries during the year. Pitchers miss so much time and it usually seems like petty stuff that probably doesn't even bother them that much. Position players miss a lot of time as well.

Basketball players aren't any better either. It's so pathetic hearing about guys (especially your non big names) missing time for hurt fingers and stuff.

I only played baseball thru high school so I don't know about much after that but why does it seem like athletes in these sports seem so soft? I don't meant to sound like I'm bashing, just honestly wondering.

Well it's pretty hard to use a basketball with a hurt finger if it's broken/fractured.

You can splint it sure but it'll still negatively impact the players performance.

They are finnese sports. Minor injuries can affect performance greatly.

Baseball players are very soft in general. MLB players go on the DL for hangnails.

Baseball is a finesse sport. Basketball is a contact sport and requires physicality and stamina.

Does it matter if it happens "all the time" or does it matter that it happens at all?

Yeah, no thank you

As someone who has been posterized by DeAndre Jordan (yeah, I name dropped. Sue me ), you have to be a grown arse man to bang with legit NBA players night after night.

When someone is this simple, are they aware of it?

I have been looking for a place to drop in the fact that I found out like a week ago that my 8th grade basketball coach was Julius Randle's high school coach

I played high school and AAU basketball in Memphis. I know all about getting dunked on

Yeah, it happens. You don't even really get mad. I know I just kind of turned into a spectator, tbh

Still the best coach I have ever had, so it makes sense they've won like 3 straight Texas state championships there.

I think getting crossed over badly might be just as embarrassing. We were playing Lance Stephenson's high school team in a tournament down in Myrtle Beach. I somehow got switched on to him and he put me on roller skates

Man, I'd rather have someone J in my face than break my damn ankles. I will hack the hell out of them first.

Assuming I can reach them

Also, Lance Stephenson?

Belated prayers sent
