Going to Taormina Sicily, then Capri, in a few weeks. Most of our trip in Sicily is planned with a chef in the villa some days but open to suggestions there outside the house. Want to hit a Michelin star restaurant at least once in Capri. Help me with my culinary journey, FDB.

Can't help you with Capri but La Grotta Azzurra in Taormina has tremendously fresh seafood. Squid ink pasta with sea urchin is killer. Enjoy your trip!

You're in luck motorboat! The best restetaunt we ate at in Italy was in Capri. Le Grotelle is the name of the place. Its a bit off the beaten path but its well worth the 20 min hike from the center of town. The food and the views were amazing. Only problem is I don't remember exactly where it is, you may have to ask a local or a hotel staff.

How many people here are Italy regulars?

It's been years since I've been to Italy and this is what we did for every meal. Not one thing was bad. Just do this.

Le Grotelle

I don't remember the food there being great(I may be wrong), but the views definitely make it worth a stop.

Avoid Rendez Voux. The food was good, the service sucked and it was overpriced. That was our big splurge restaurant while in Capri and we were let down.

I really liked Il Tinello. I can't even tell you what I ordered, but it was like a seafood spaghetti that was terrific.

I was only in Capri for 2 days, so I didn't eat at a ton of restaurants, but I did go to the 3 above.

We also walked down to marina piccolo, which was a nice little walk, and ate at a cool restaurant there. The food wasn't great but it was a nice place on top of the rocks and overlooking the beaches.

I'll lookup where we went in 2008. You can't really go wrong. Things are comically expensive on that island. I was looking at cotton polo shirt in a store until I realized it was $230.
