Huskers maybe had a little more competition in-conference.

The 95 Nebraska team is probably the GOAT

Nebraska over FSU IMO. FSU was tremendous though

That was the first big home game of my freshman year of college and when it was over we marched the goalposts down Mill Avenue! We were PARTYING that night!

F$U was really good through the decade.
Nebraska was really good too but the middle of the decade they were great.

I'm jealous you attended ASU. So many hot women.

This is much more important and so damn true. I went to the LSU-ASU baseball series in 2001 and was overwhelmed by the talent (not talking baseball here). What a weekend I had.

NEBRASKA
1990: 9-3
1991: 9-2-1
1992: 9-3
1993: 11-1 (loss to FSU in Orange Bowl)
1994: 13-0
1995: 12-0
1996: 11-2
1997: 13-0
1998: 9-4
1999: 12-1 (loss to Texas in regular season)
FLORIDA STATE
1990: 10-2
1991: 11-2
1992: 11-1 (loss to Miami)
1993: 12-1 (loss to Notre Dame)
1994: 10-1-1
1995: 10-2
1996: 11-1 (Dismantled by Florida...cost me $100)
1997: 11-1 (loss to Florida)
1998: 11-2
1999: 12-0 (National Champs)
1/1/93 Florida State - 27 Nebraska - 14 Orange Bowl
1/1/94 Florida State - 18 Nebraska - 16 Orange Bowl
FSU routinely had to deal with Miami and Florida State.
Nebraska routinely had to deal with Colorado (don't laugh young guys, CU was really freaking good in the 90s), Texas (in the later half) and a spotty Oklahoma team.
I want to say that maybe FSU caught Nebraska at the right time because I feel the Huskers peaked in the mid to late 90s. However, it's tough to look against FSU's success against Nebraska. And, Nebraska probably played a more all-around difficult schedule, but FSU had to butt heads with two of the top teams year in and year out with Miami and Florida.
To conclude, flip a coin. They are as even as even gets.

I don't know about that. Oklahoma was a disaster in the 1990s. Florida State played Florida and Miami non-conference while Virginia and Georgia Tech were much better programs in the 90s
I still think Nebraska is the answer to the OP
