SPINOFF: Unionization Effect on Recruiting and Cutting Players

If this ruling actually turns college athletes into "employees", do the rules that apply to hiring and firing players start to apply to colleges?

For instance, would a team be liable for not having enough diversity?

Can a player sue the school when he gets cut for wrongful termination?

I can imagine this would have had to come up with professional sports, but I'm not sure how it works.

Ironically enough I believe one reason those things aren't issues are because of unions and collectively bargained agreements in pro leagues.

ETA. No clue though.
