I'm sorry for any kid that thinks he will be a one man rushing attack for LSU. It hasn't happen and never will as long as Miles is head coach. I think it's a good thing but sometimes he never feeds a back when he needs to I.e. Clemson, Ole Miss, Auburn.

I think he means bell cow like "recruiting for school X"

That's what we call customers that 'spread the word' for us at work

It happened this past season.... Hill had 203 carries, while missing the 1st few games. 2nd most was Magee with 86.

In modern day football, no team will have just 1 guy that gets every carry. But when we have a RB clearly ahead of the rest, like Hill, Hester, and Ridley, Les features them.

He's talking about for the recruiting class...hence the committing early part.

Do you honestly think that a thread about a potential running back commit is the proper place to rip the coaching staff for the way they use running backs?

Are you retarded? Did you seriously take that comment to mean he wants to be the featured back?
Damn dude, he meant he will be recruiting and steadfast to help the team with his class.

i got to watch him play in the 2nd round of the playoffs last year. the weather was rainy and the field conditions were terrible. nevertheless he was head a shoulders above everybody on the field. he had the ability to "sit in the saddle" a move laterally well, even in the poor conditions. also he was able to break away and leave some people. either way I came away impressed.

I've seen him in several games. We live in the community and I worked some of his Junior High games. He is the proverbial man among boys but... I want to see his next two years... He does love his basketball.

Maybe he doesn't feed a back every time, but neither does Saban (against Oklahoma) and Malzahn (against LSU). Malzahn didn't start featuring Mason til late in the season. Marshall didn't start running more til late in the season.

Also Hester was a feature back, Scott was a feature back, Ridley was a feature back, and Hill was a feature back. Hell, Ware was a feature back before he got suspended. He was avg 21 carries a game, then was suspended for Auburn, Hilliard balled out and after that, Ware only had 2 games over 8 atts for the rest of the season. It was actually better for the team considering he only averaged 4.0 ypc.

Hester 225 Williams 70
Scott 217 Williams 83
Ridley 249 Ford 45
Hill 203 Magee 86

His comments weren't referring to being an every down back, but it's still worth noting that there are benefits to not getting ALL of the carries.

Not to mention Miles does not micro-manage the RB rotation.
