Would it be safe to unscrew the fuel filter and pour some in there and then pour the rest in the tank. Motor is running rough and really don't want to pull it? Its a 2007 model, hasn't really been run hard, it just sat up almost all of last year.

I drink it in my coffee, I'm sure it's safe in your engine.

Pour it all in the tank, get a can of Seafoam spray, spray the spray in the air intake while engine is running.

You HP Jets are probably clogged. May be to late for seafoam to pull off a fix. May require you to tear into the carbs and get rid of the varnish that is now in your fuel system especially if you had ethanol fuel in it.

Stabil and Seafoam are the two things I use. Here in Houston you can't find non-ethanol gas.

Ditch the seafoam for berrymans chemtool...also called b12. And dont think doubling up works.

Next time the boat sits...run yamaha ring free in it and store it with that in it. Not foolproof...but almost.

Chemtool is also only 3bucks at walmart...dont cry when you price ring free though.... the first time I actually had to pay for a bottle, I nearly shed a tear.

This stuff will clean a dirty carb bowl in just an hour or so, faster in the hot sun..... Probably the same stuff as the Yami ring free....

I wouldn't worry about it in a newer motor. Only ethanol free in ours though, 1994 johnson. It don't like the ethanol, fuel lines had to be replaced once already

Yea I thought I was crazy for a second, I don't understand the carb talk.

I have zero experience with seafoam in a non 2 stroke non carbbed engine.

Seafoamed ours back at the end of the summer, it's idling rough as shite again.

If you have a droid check out an app called Pure Gas. It will tell you where all the gas stations that offer ethanol free gas are.
