I don't want to sound like a badass here but I would have just worked my way down like he did until I got to the ground. After 2 drops you're probably close enough that a fall might not even break something.

he probably would have done that if the truck wasn't there.

as soon as he made the decision to go down one story, he did it pretty fast, and that was the riskiest one. highest floor, fire breathing down your neck, unstable floor, etc.

Thought about this after my post. Watching it again it looks like he got close to the edge partly because he knew he might have to jump down quick.
