FIFA has approved change of nationality for Julian Green--he's eligible to play for USMNT immediately.

He'll be able to play against Mexico

Curious to see what he has got against a good side. Mexico may have been full of derp during quals, but they dismantled NZ and may have responded to their latest semi-annual coaching change. Plus they preform well in front of a home crowd.

I'm actually more excited for this as a litmus test than Ukraine.

You act as if it's been decided already.

Also, feeling damn patriotic right now. Might as well keep these gifs going.

In my opinion, I think it has. I'm thinking Jurgy told him he'd be on the plane if he did his one time switch. It just makes sense to me.

Just my opinion though, could be wrong.

Watched some youtube highlights. They can obviously be misleading because you're only seeing the good, not the bad. But he's probably more talented than any attacking player we have. Bayern wouldn't be giving this dude Champions League minutes at 18 if they didn't think he could be special. There's no reason he shouldn't get some minutes in Brazil. Any combination of Green, Jozy, Dempsey, Donovan and Johannsson in our front 4 with Bradley and Jones behind them has me fully aroused.

The reality right now, that we have to ask ourselves, is if JG is better than Shea, or at least comparable. I think that answer is easily yes.

I'm pretty sure this is Jurgen scouting our next great talent.

I hope Green tears the Mexicounts a new one.

Brek Shea is useless. He doesn't even deserve a look.

Someone doesn't like Brek Shea. Or at least that's the way it seems, rather than an objective, evidence based observation.

It's not personal. He just sucks at soccer, good athlete though.
