You guys talked me out of the Xterra, but I'm liking the new Z71s. What price did you pay? nb4F150, they are way over priced.

Then you aren't going to like the price on the GMs either

Since they are brand new, the rebates probably aren't there, like with the $10k off of Fords. Shop around online and see if you can find something

I know they had one recall, but that is easily fixed before you drive off of the lot

F150s are changing up for 2015 I believe, I would think you could get a hell of a deal on a new 2014.

I'm looking at several pre-owned Chevy/GMC Z71s online and they're decently priced. There are a few 2010ish models for around 18k.

I really like the newer 4 door Toyota Tundras (circa 2009 and newer) but they're horrendously overpriced for used trucks that aren't the premium models (i.e. Denali or King Ranch).

Anyone on here have a newer model GM Z71? If so, how do you like it?

The Tundras definitely hold their value. The Tacomas even more so. If you aren't buying one 4+ years old there's really no reason to not buy new. Even then they're usually within 6k of the price of new.

Noticed that, but the Toyota's are too damn ugly.

They're also considerably larger than a crew cab GM truck or F150.

I have a 2011 and a buddy has the 2013. I like my exterior better, but his interior is way nicer. You can't beat those vortec engines. I have the 6.2 in mine and it's great. All the newer trucks are nice I'm just not a ford guy and I know a couple people having problems with the new diesels and ecoboost.

Details? Just curious as I have one and haven't heard anything major but always waiting

Some people are complaining that the Ecoboost engines lose power after a certain point. It's a moot point with me though, because even if I bought a Ford, I would get the V8. No damn way I would spend that much money on a turbo V6.

If by ugly, you mean most aesthetically pleasing full size, then sure.

No kidding. I found one yesterday I really liked that was about the size of a GM2500 or F-250 and wasn't lifted. The back seats seemed extremely roomy.

True. I think think newer Toyota Tundras look really good, and I say that as someone who never really liked the look of the Tundra beforehand.

If you are calling tundras easy on the eyes you're on drugs. tundras are nice trucks and have good power, but my God are they ugly.

Dunno if the actual physical dimensions are larger or not, but the F150 feels absurdly more roomy than the Tundra. That was the deciding factor between the two for me. The back seat on the F150 beats the hell out of the Tundra.
