My mind has been blown so far. That's insane that in the Oort Cloud that it takes a million years to orbit the Sun. To put it in perspective, it only takes Pluto 250 years to orbit the Sun. That is absolutely insane on how far our Sun's gravitational pull extends.

Nah. Thanks to those cartoons we actually got Carey Elwes as the voice of Edmond Halley tonight.

Oh, and the Royal Society blowing their budget on The History of Fish -

In this episode, no. I'm really learning a lot in this episode and am shocked by what people in the 1600s discovered and knew. The first two episodes, I knew basically everything Tyson was talking about (aside from the eye), but this one is really educating me and I didn't know most of this at all. Never knew that Halle and Newton knew each other, as well as Newton's relationship to Hook.

Yeah, great episode. Learned alot about our place and knowledge of the galaxy. It still blows my mind that it takes a comet a million years to orbit the Sun when its at the edge of the Oort Cloud.

It's amazing how intellects like Isaac Newton and Einstein can make such leaps in our understanding of things.

Hopefully there are some youngsters out there watching this show and getting inspired to become involved in science. Keep the progress going.
