Run bootcamp, partition the HDD, install Windows 7 and boot from it.

I had an iMac once. Tried to game on it with a windows partition. I ended up selling it and building a PC. Hope that helps.

That's not entirely true. I didn't get quite enough to build my PC when I sold mine. But then again, I might not have sold it for enough. I don't really care though.

I can play Left 4 Dead 2 via Steam on my MacBook Pro and that's all I care about.

If you really want to game don't buy Apple. You will be happier in the long run that you didn't waste your money and got a more powerful laptop for the same price or less.

My roommates 15" MBP has dedicated graphics so it runs games pretty decently.

I bought it originally for the kids to have a good powerful machine to do their studies with.
I am starting to get interested into computer gaming and was just wondering if I could use it, but it looks like I need to just get a windows based pc.
