He is pretty terrible and all...and this is kind of a halfway troll/ halfway serious thread, so dont get mad at it. (Pretty much just a reference to how Brees went from bottom to the top)

Olbviously we wouldnt pay him the 13mil that he was just cut for, but in a few years when we are looking for Brees' replacement...ahh maby not so much...but...

Mainly just because he is a QB that was once pretty good then he struggeled. And he hurt his shoulder and now he just came back from reconstructive shoulder surgery. No way he can play in the NFL ever again? Rite?

Sound familiar to anyone? Of course the trick to becoming an elite QB is to have a near career ending injury!......but then again, Drew never has perfected the art of the Buttfumble, maby old Mark could teach him a thing or two

Its more of a joke thread tributed to brees coming back from his injury than anything

Hell no i dont realy think that mark sanchez is good. But all it takes in a strong work ethic and the motivation to do good.

That is what makes Brees the Great QB that he is. He has great work ethic.

Sanchez not so much, but sometimes things change.

Not just no, hell no!

Head case. Questionable character (going back to USC days...rape accusations just don't materialize for no reason...if nothing else it reeks of bad judgement).

When we grabbed Brees from San Diego, remember what his reputation was. There may have been questions about his health, his arm, his size, but never his intelligence or his character.

QBs are more than just arms and bodies. They are leaders; they can inspire those around them to be better; they make those around them better.

Can you honestly look at Sanchez amd say that? Do you think Brees, Payton, or the front office have this magical ability to transform Sanchez in this way?

I think not.

Nope. Haha. Brees is a one of a kind guy. There will never be another like him. He puts his heart and soul into the game and his work ethic shows it.

Im not gunna lie. I was laughing my arse off at Sanchez every time he stepped on the field. That thanksgiving game when he revealed his patented Buttfumble just summed up the Jets with Sanchez as QB.

But I have been checking threads all week and saints talk has been pretty slow lately (not really much news to talk about) ...so i felt like making a should we thread just like every one else does the day someone gets released by a team. Just this thread is a tribute to Brees since he was once in a "similar" position.

But seriously...just think...we would be unstoppable if we had the secret weapon play known as "buttfumble"

I would say that he was above average for about 2 years when they went to back to back AFC championship games. Never anything close to elite tho. Their defense carried them pretty far those 2 years as well. But after those 2 years he turned into the laughing stock of the NFL

He was never above average. He was below average at best. Most of the time he was terrible.

I'm still trying to figure out how he got drafted so high. He was average at USC. If you're average at USC in those days, that means you suck.

Statistically, he's had one of the worst careers ever.

And he's a douche.

You forgot the fact that Brees was worth a frick before he got injured. San Diego didn't know who they were going to cut, Brees or Rivers. The injury made the decision for them.

Sanchez has always been viewed a the weak link on that team. That was never the case with Drew.
