I loved it. Just saw it last night. Not perfect , but very enjoyable.
I thought Christian Bale was tremendous.

Just finished it. Very entertaining but I think it got overhyped. Bale was phenomenal though.

Did anyone else think Jennifer Lawrence was ugly in this movie?
Also I didn't really care for it as much as the hype. It was ok, but over hyped IMO. Bale was awesome though.

2 scenes kinda made me squirm a bit and I wish weren't in the movie, and made me question the movie a bit:
Amy Adams sitting on the toilet doing some weird shite after Bradley Cooper leaves the stall - bizarre.
J-Law singing "Live and Let Die" over the actual music. Awkward.
Both scenes should have never made it past the cutting floor IMO

I'm squarely in the "it was good, but not great" camp. It was like Ocean's 11 meets Goodfellas with not enough of the humor, and none of the heft.

Didnt care for it. Lawrence and Bale were great, but Cooper was terrible imo. To me it seemed like a bad version of "Blow". Went in with high expectations, and I guess it wasn't an absolute terrible film, but it just didnt do it for me.

I was really, really looking forward to this movie. I watched about half of it the other day and really just got bored and stopped watching. I thought the acting was great, but perhaps the pace was just too slow. I just did not care at all about the relationship between Bale and Adams or Cooper and Adams and just wanted to see some hustling going on. I think I got antsy waiting for them to get into it but it dragged big time for me. Maybe I need to pick it back up with lowered expectations and more patience.
