Keep hearing ESPN guys bring his name up a lot. Chris Mortensen and Merl Hodge think so.

Don't believe anything Herril Moge says. He's an idiot and a troll.

if he throws well at his pro day, it's definitely possible for a team like Houston.

Is he going to be able to throw at the pro day? Its coming up soon, and he had surgery Jan 2nd.

I would take a shot on Mett... especially if you have a serviceable guy for the next season. Its a weird year for QBs. If Mett wasnt hurt, he would be in the 1st round. Especially after his combine / pro day. He could def end up being the best QB from this draft down the road.

Oh and by the way, Trai Turner is flying up draft boards. Late 2nd - 3rd rounder now.

I'm pretty sure Mett has told the media he will throw at pro day.

Mett doesn't get enough credit. The guy has shown he has all the arm talent, heart, and ability to learn over the past year or so. To me he's more NFL ready (injury aside) than JFF. In the right system/situation I say he has a fair chance at competing and having a solid career.

Maybe I'm biased. Mett is probably my all time favorite tiger. That picture of him after the Arky game... I'll never forget it.

Zach has suffered since the injury simply because people kinda forgot about him. A good pro day will help him out. If you ask, most people say ZM is talented w/ a remarkable arm but they haven't thought about him because he wasn't around during bowl season and stuff.

ETA: I'd put more weight into dukkev's opinion before Merril's

Mett is ahead of schedule, and has good film against top competition. If he can perform well on pro day, it would not shock me at all for him to go in the second. If he wasn't rehabbing, I would give him bottom of first to the right team.

He'd take Sherman over Clowney

Mett going in the 2nd Rd would be a huge risk by some organization.

let’s face it, at 6-5 with a canon for an arm, it makes sense / the biggest drawback with him is his mobility or the abysmal lack thereof.

Brady can't move either and he's done alright.

That guy Belichick has 2 such QB's on the New England roster.

Comparing him to a three time SB champion to reinforcement your argument....

I can see Mett going in the 2nd, which is where I think he should be picked, but he'll probably end up being a 3rd round pick.
