Monty's last nights post game press conference

So watching the news today, Monty says no one in the state of Louisiana is more frustrated than him. His next statement is "let's face reality, we have Brian Roberts playing against all star PGS 
, Tyreke is a SG playing SF 
, last night we had our second round pick starting at the PF position, and we had Greg starting at C. There's about 20 different things I pointed out to the guys about how we need to get better. We can't use it as an excuse, but our guys have overachieved for the past 2 and a half 3 months".
One one hand he starts out with excuses about the quality of his players, then tells them that their lack of execution can't be an excuse. And then he says that his players have overachieved. Wtf?
Monty has been excuses for the last at least 2 months of the season. I really never heard a coach go there. Yes, I've heard the bad call excuse before, but he's used that one and every other he can come up with.

It's not like we get blew out every games. We lead every game and always lose the last 5 min.

I'm not big on Monty but I'm not sure what the big deal is about this. Monty said what everyone is thinking and it's a big deal?

The fans cant handle the truth apparently.
He's supposed to get up there and be a big phony and give generic rehearsed answers. That obviously how it's done.

Not really.
How many other coaches have you heard make as many excuses as he does? How about saying its on him and his coaching staff to get his players in better positions to close out games? To start pointing fingers publicly at the players is big time douchebagness. That's gotta make them wanna play for him. Maybe that's why everyone in timeouts has the " I don't give a frick" look on their faces? Classy move Monty.

I don't care what he says we have all watched countless games where we have been in the lead and blow it due to awful substitutions, terrible play calls, and the inability to adjust
And that was all before we had the Jrue & Ryno injuries
He's had run ins with Reke and on top of that Reke was coming off the bench for Aminu (which changed only in the last 7 games) and only playing 25 mins while we were missing Ryno, Jrue, & Smith
Do I sympathize with him that this team has been desolated with injuries? Absolutely...BUT we haven't been getting blown out a lot, there hasn't been many times this year (other than against the Thunder & Clippers) where we just got manhandled in every way
We are in a lot of games and leading in many games. I understand we won't win every game and stuff happens but we aren't winning in large part bc our coach can't make adjustments and play to the strength of his players
The Spurs have done more with much less (well arguably)
It's on you Monty so at least acknowledge you're doing a terrible job and don't throw players under the bus you're the head coach
