Legitimate concern for medical well being of potential patients or needless regulation intended to reduce the availability of abortion clinics?

Probably the latter with the former being an important byproduct.

Abortionists normally are the lowest of the low when it comes to doctors regarding skill and knowledge. There is a very negligence incidence rate with abortionist so the ability to quickly get patients to a hospital where a more qualified OBGYN can take care of them isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Sounds like this is influenced by the freak show abortion clinic they had running in Baton Rouge.

I've read this a couple times on this board, is there a link or something for this? Not trying to call you out, I'm just curious to see this data.

needless regulation

A. They claim that abortion should be "safe." This makes it "safe."

Agree.

Who goes into medicine to end lives?

Don't believe me, next time in Chicago go to the science museum and they have a series of actual fetuses in their different stages of development from conception to 9 months.

That is exactly where I became pro-life. Standing right in front of that exhibit. Not religion, science.

I agree. Can't argue with the facts. Hard to argue against it but they will. If my daughter died due to some quack with a suction tube rendered her sterile or killed her, I'd be looking for his/her arse.

But if clinics are not locally available and she decided to pursue one, what then? Suppose she went an even less safe direction with the procedure?

This has nothing to do with patient safety. The performing doctor doesn't need to have admitting privileges for patient safety. Its clearly regulation intended to close abortion clinics. Lets not be naive.

You're being naïve if you believe medicine is practiced at it's highest levels in abortion clinics.

Where did I say I believe that? Explain to me specifically how admitting privileges increases patients safety in this scenario? And not just some regurgitated lines you found after a quick google search.

If abortionists were such great doctors, why do laws like the above keep forcing them to shut down? Good doctors should have no problem getting admitting privileges, keeping a sterile operating room, hiring competent assistants, etc.

OBGYN's that aren't in clinics typically don't like to do abortions. Especially in the south.

My fault. I wasn't clear. I know most OBGYNs don't perform abortions. I was referring to caring for the injured mother, not perform the abortion.
