Just finished season 1. Stringer Bell is legit and the antagonist is a crazy bitch.
Will plow through season 2 in short order.

meh...top 3 in the genre maybe

I couldn't even finish season 3.
I liked 1 & 2.
Season 3 just went over the top and it gets old with some knucklehead trying to bust Luther.

I'm in love with Alice Morgan. She is mine, no one can have her.

top 3 is a tall order these days. We are referring to ACTIVE televisions series right?
Sherlock
Castle
True Detective
Immediately top this IMO.

Heck, I like Wallander just as much as Luther. At least I don't spend half the episode rolling my eyes at the nonsense that happens in Luther.

Close, I don't know about Top 3. And I love the show.

I've never heard of Castle? Is it worth watching considering it's a network tv show?

I avoided it for the longest time thinking it was just another procedural. It is well written, however, and pretty funny. Each episode has a solid mystery and it doesn't take itself too seriously. I'd say for pure entertainment purposes it ranks pretty high.

In no particular order:
Sherlock
Broadchurch
The Musketeers
The Escape Artist (not sure if it can become another season)
Doctor Who
Castle

This board makes me realize that there is a lot of TV out there that I do not know about. And I consider myself as someone who watches a lot of TV.

Are these all BBC/British shows?

Great show. In my top 10 for sure. Glad I got turned on to it from this board a few years back.

Yeah Luther is better than all those except Sherlock.

Broadchurch is better than Luther. So is the Americans and Orphan Black.

My guess is that you haven't watched Broadchurch, The Musketeers, and The Escape Artist.
