So I'm trying to get rid of my cabbages and am thinking about incorporating it into my shepards pie tonight. Thoughts?

Is this something new?
On a serious note...I'd be worried about the water content in cabbage making it runny.

I like to take shepherd's pie, fill it with cream cheese, stuff it in a jalapeño, mold jimmy deans breakfast sausage around the pepper, wrap that with bacon, beer batter, then deep fry.

In lieu of potatoes or just as an addition?
I like the idea of just incorporating it.

If he would have said cauliflower I'd get the "sub" cause when you do it right, it's pretty hard to tell the difference between mashed taters and mashed cauliflower.
But cabbage .... I don't think so.

I think the moisture given off by the cabbage would be excessive. Probably need to render it down before adding it.
