Maybe not cured bipolar, but benefits that you don't need all the meds to help

I just don't know how to go gluten sugar dairy free.

It's tough, but I don't eat as much bread as bf. Im more conscientious about what I eat in regards to gluten and it is big difference. Whenever I go off the deep end, I feel it now. One of the best investment books spent IMO

Untreated bipolar disorder gets worse over time
It's called kindling. This book is as stupid as Dr. Oz

I have an idea. How about everybody stop making up some new fad diet?! How about that? What if everyone stops eating a bunch of processed crap from Walmart, eats healthy with controlled portions, and exercises? I bet if we did that we would feel fan-fricking-tastic.
You know what I'll publish it. It'll be called the normal diet.

Who knows, I've heard Dr Perlmutter on different podcasts and at first it sounds out there a bit but he backs a lot of claims up with research, not just some crazy theory that might work. From what I've heard him say is not necessarily a way to cure a disease (he may do some of this in the book) but that the grain (sugar) is causing a lot of these mental problems. I agree with this 100%.

It may not cure, but I can guarantee going grain free and sugar free will reduce symptoms. The big thing is grains though, especially modern wheat, the levels of toxins, not just gluten, have really jacked up humans. Wheat is very inflammatory.
My wife had all kinds of issues, mental and physical, I got her to give up grains in January, she's lost weight and the mental and physical issues have been greatly reduced, some eliminated.
A few weeks ago was her birthday, we splurged and had pizza, 2 hours later she was in pain that lasted until the next day.
I don't think that's placebo, especially since she never would have thought that 2 slices of pizza would do anything.

Y'all ever thought that it might not be the grain or sugar in these products (though a lot of products these days definitely has way too much sugar per serving) but all the other artificial bull? All the other preservatives? Or the fact that these big corporations make our food as fast as possible and as cheap as possible. I continue to strive daily to make as much of my food as possible. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables from a farmers' market preferably. Try to avoid meat that is most likely jacked up with steroids and other growth hormones. Exercise!

To each to their own, I guess. I know I've noticed an improved difference by cutting out things in my diet I've read. You think old school doctors and pharmacy companies want you to get off those meds?

Gluten Intolerant? You May Just Be Intolerant of Monsanto Weed Killer
Published article on the topic
It deals with the herbicides that are used for the wheat crops.
ETA: I do agree with what you are saying about the excessive prescription of medication.

Could be and wouldn't be surprise at that at all but do think all of it not good for you. When you give up grains and sugar you are giving up the processed crap. I'd throw vegetable oil in there as a nasty culprit.
Our family is so much better off eating vegetables, fruit, meat, and eggs (cook with coconut oil and butter). Our beef is grass fed just cause have a friend that his dad raises them. One example of many is I used to have rosacea and was told it was because I had too much sun as a kid. Diet changed and all the sudden I guess that skin damage went away. All I did was get the pro inflammatory crap out of the diet.
