Got bit by a tick recently and I actually pulled it off about 5 seconds after I felt the bite.

The area around it has swollen and the red area is starting to run down my arm.

fricking ticks. it was about the size of a piece of pepper.

i wanted to grab a hot needle & jam it into the red part but i've been told maybe not the best idea.

should i go to a walk-in and get some antibiotics?

just ignore it?

will i get aids?

Yea, go get it checked out. You don't want to come down with lyme disease.

It'll take a month before you'll know if it was caring something. Trying to treat it now could actually make it worse.

As a kid growing up in Central we played in the woods all day and would get a tick on us every now and then. Just pull it off and stop being a pussy.

Watch it for a couple days. If the redness doesn't go away, then see a doctor.

A lot of people think that walking in tall grass is when ticks get on them. Not true. There are more ticks up in trees that fall on you.

True story. My good friend's little brother got bit by a tick. Actually not far from your place, CAD. He's now highly allergic to all mammalian meat.

he for sure isn't happy about it. The doctor said sometimes people get over it in a couple years, but he's hesitant to try anything after his last bite landed him in the hospital.

Cad, after eating these and surviving, I'm quite sure you inflicted more damage on the tick than vice versa.
