this is "how we roll" by FGL. I would expect nothing less from these guys. ( )I would advise sticking to the lyrics only. it's pretty bad. you've been warned.
quote:already got trucks, party, and alcohol covered. this might be some sort of record. and what beta wears a flat bill....backwards
The mixtape's got a little Hank, little Drake
A little something bumping, thump, thumping on the wheel ride
The mix in our drink's a little stronger than you think
So get a grip, take a sip of that feel right
The truck's jacked up, flat bills flipped back
Yeah you can find us where the party's at
quote:if you haven't heard, this is how they roll. and they aren't worried about people getting shot. their hands are fire starters as well
This is how we roll
We hanging round singing out everything on the radio
We light it up with our hands up
This is how we roll
This is how we do
We're burning down the night shooting bullets at the moon baby
This is how we roll
quote:they must be ballers because they have gas to burn. they are driving stoned(not sure if they were being literal here). he is kobe, swishin dem free throws babe.
Yeah baby this is how we roll
We rollin' into town
With nothing else to do we take another lap around
Yeah holla at your boy if you need a ride
If you roll with me yeah you know we rollin' high
Up on them 37 Nittos, windows tinted hard to see though
How fresh my baby is in the shotgun seat oh
Them kisses are for me though, automatic like a free throw
This life I live it might not be for you but it's for me though
Let's roll!
quote:not sure I need to cover this again
This is how we roll
We hanging round singing out everything on the radio
We light it up with our hands up
This is how we roll
This is how we do
When the world turns ugly I just turn and look at you baby
This is how we roll
quote::)
[Luke Bryan]
quote:we cuss on Mondays. ok.
Yeah we're proud to be young
We stick to our guns
We love who we love and we wanna have fun
Yeah we cuss on them Mondays
And pray on them Sundays
Pass it around and we dream about one day
quote:they're moving with some velocity through what appears to be wet, unpaved terrain.
This is how we roll
We hanging round singing out everything on the radio
We light it up with our hands up
This is how we roll
This is how we ride
We slingin' up the mud, cuttin' through the countryside baby
This is how we roll
quote:keep on rollin rollin rollin rollin rollin rollin
Yeah this is how we roll
This is how we roll
This is how we do
We're burning down the night shooting bullets at the moon baby
This is how we roll
Yeah this is how we roll

It's literally the worst songs I've ever heard in my life. I get so pissed thinking about what their process in the studio must be like. I mean there is zero dynamics, no skilled playing on any song, same shite over and over, and the biggest issue is I feel like they enjoy their own songs like they're some sort of creative people.

Not bad. I've not heard the song set to music but I can clearly pick up some strong Dylan influence in there with the depth of the lyrics and the flow of the words is reminiscent of a Lennon/McCartney collaboration. I love the addition of Luke Bryan, who to me is like Townes Van Zandt reincarnate. Thanks for sharing.

By no means am I going to defend this lousy bullshite song, but I think it's just referring to
quote:
The truck's jacked up
quote:
If you roll with me yeah you know we rollin' high
Up on them 37 Nittos
Now I need to go wash my mind out with some Turnpike Troubadours or some Buddy Miller.....

They act like this rapping/country mix is something new they created. Kid Rock had been doing it successfully for a long time. And at least some of his shite is enjoyably, he's "ripping the lines that'll make your mother shite her pants, bro"

If you haven't seen the video to that song, you're missing out. Looks like it was filmed in Livingston parish.

the fact that this kind of crap is popular makes me want to kill myself.

It hurts that they'll make more money off of this one song than you'll make in your entire life doesn't it?
Posted on 3/19/14 at 10:56 am to JayWall
The vindication is that it doesn't matter how many of these songs they get money from, they'll never receive respect from anyone who's involved in the musician community. We all know what they do and who they are. Yes they'll make money. But until they care about the music, they have plateaued talent wise. Even Tom Petty said it's terrible and they had the nerve to talk shite back to him. They might not even know who Tom Petty is.
Talking shite to Petty

I award you, sir, a catfish dinner because you are indeed a winner, winner.

I'd venture to say there are some pretty talented musicians in their band and playing on the albums.

AWFUL. Both should be kicked out of country and put in the southern-pop format where they belong.

Okay? It doesn't matter if its nick jonas or Joe Bonamassa if there's 2 chord changes and a 4/4 beat on every song. Literally no artistic freedom on these dumbed down songs.

frick me, that's awful.
ETA:
Hopefully sarcasm, as that's autotuned to Hell.
