NCAA Coaches Ranked...By Playing Career

Thought this was kind of an interesting and fun article LINK
Of the 68 coaches, only 2 were ever regular NBA starters. 9 played in the NBA, but most of those played less than 100 minutes. 60 out of 68 played some level of college basketball, but more than half of them weren't the least bit distinguished in D-1 or were playing in D-II, D-III, or NAIA leagues. Thad Matta (at number 28) is basically were the guys start getting decent at basketball.

It isn't even close. Number 2 was a solid starter for 5 years. Number 3 was essentially a career 11th man Number 1 might have been a hall of fame player if he was healthy.

Funny Cal factoid, he led his team in free throw percentage at Clarion.
